14” square, on 1” deep stretched canvas
While recuperating from a broken ankle (which of course was my sewing machine pedal leg!) I rediscovered the joys of hand stitching. Using my collection of silk scraps and the techniques of Kawandi and trapunto quilting, I was able to create this piece. Slow stitching, slow healing…lots of time to meditate!
