When we first moved to Florida (from Vermont), I’d never seen a manatee and knew little about them.  On our first kayaking trip we met several manatees that were so friendly they swam to our boat to say hello!  We were not allowed to touch them but we really wanted to return the love.  I loved watching the mamas and babies together.  Years later I learned how they were starving due to the lack of seagrass.  They inspired this quilt which has been displayed in several educational places where I discussed their current dire situation.

Description:  Hand drawn, appliqued on sea-like blue fabric (background), painted,  stitched and quilted to accent their beauty and highlighted their plight.

PRICE INCLUDES FREE SHIPPING AND SALES TAX. (Shipments via regular ground service, to addresses in the contiguous US)

Shop with confidence! I want every customer to be happy with their selection. Please see “About Shipping and Returns” information on this website’s contact page. Thanks!
