WARMING UP

Most of the pieces that I create are pretty color charged, and Warming Up is no exception. To add depth to this piece I created the center portion separately from the background quilt and embellished it with beads and piping.
The title not only refers to the warmth of the color palette but also how I feel when I’m working on a project. Every project and technique that I use is a learning tool and a “warm up” for the next project.
100% cotton (hand-dyed and commercial) fabrics. Machine pieced and quilted.
Sleeve attached to back for hanging.
