Often while creating my art, my muse gets carried away. Sometimes she is positive and
encouraging, other times critical and paralyzing. I’ve had to train myself to not let the
cacophony of thoughts hinder my creative process, as it often does, but focus on the
good stuff. These little snippets of advice (borrowed from several sources, thanks to all)
often help. Maybe if you are feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, stuck, or unmotivated,
they can help you too:
• Focus on the process, not the product.
• Be brave…you can always make another one.
• Be inspired by, but don’t copy others. Use your unique voice.
• Not everything must be a masterpiece.
• Be a factory, not a warehouse.
• Do not compare yourself with others.
• Tap into your inner child.
• Embrace your bliss…your passion will lead you to your purpose.
• Everything is a meaningful experiment, nothing is wasted.
• Nurture Nature.
• Accept advice but do your own thing.
• Improvise. Or plan. Whatever works.
• Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.
• Be grateful.
• BREATHE!
